Tricia's Step N Style Hair Studio to host a Cut-A-Thon Sunday, April 6th from 10
- 4. Ladies haircuts will be $30 and Mens will be $16. Tricia's
stylists will donate all proceeds to Nick and the Manzo Family!
Tricia's new salon will be located in the Friendly's shopping center
in Miller Place (631)821-0998.

Enormous 'Thank You'

Teacher & Student Government Advisor Ron Skolnick and the
Miller
Place High School Student Government have decided to donate $2,000
to our fundraiser. This is truly a wonderful and very generous

Day was a tremendous SUCCESS! Over $1000 was raised through
donations from all 4 of the Miller Place Schools and the
administrative offices.

- The Fundraiser at
McDonald's in Miller Place was also a tremendous success.
Thank you to all who attended and for all who donated. The
weather was not cooperative but people still attended to show

for hosting this great event!
- A fundraising event at
Friendly's in Miller Place is in the process of being
schedule - date TBD.

Kathy Kibbel is
organizing a carwash for sometime in March/April with the 8th
and 9th graders from the Miller Place School District. They would
organize separate washes for both the 8th and 9th grade students.

The Heely Family of
Rocky Point along with the 8th grade Rocky Point Cheerleaders are
planning a carwash at the Rocky Point Firehouse when the weather
starts to warm up a bit - more information will be posted when a
date is set.

Abbate [Nick's cousin] has met with the principal of the Rocky Point
Middle School, Dr. Centamore, about putting a collection jar in the
school. He agreed it was a great idea!

Woodruff from the MPHS has 'Denim Day' scheduled for Wednesday,
February 6, 2008. All the teachers that wear denim will donate $5
for Nick and his family.
The Miller Place
McDonalds Fundraiser is set for Tuesday, February 12, 2008 from 5 -
7 p.m. 15% of the proceeds in that 2 hour timeframe will be donated
to Nick and the Manzo's.

Dawn Svoboda is in contact with the president of ABATE about doing a
'bike run' to raise money for Nick and his family. Something to look
forward to in the warmer weather - after the roads are cleaned up
from all the sand.

Lynanne Daily is getting involved
in helping with donations. She's working on placing donation jars in
the 7-11's of Rocky Point, Miller Place and Mt. Sinai.

Reiny Scherwagen / Commodore at Mt.
Sinai Yacht Club is placing the donation flyer on the club bulletin
board.

Madeline Gestone and her father Steve are
setting up a band fundraiser. They have contacted Steve's friend, Doug who is the lead
guitarist for a band called 'Sweaty Betty' and the date is
tentative for May 17, 24, or 31 at Kelly's in Medford. We will
verify the date and time and post it as soon as it becomes available
as well as directions.
There will be a raffle and a
50 -
50 raffle as well - it will be a fun night! Stay tuned for the date
and time and let all your friends know so it is a success. This will
be a really fun night for everyone - great music, friends - and best
of all we will all be helping Nick and his family!
We need as many people as possible
to help promote the concert - so check for updates for the day and
time.

Mary Anne Martin is the MPHS Varsity Volleyball coach. She is
organizing a Volleyball Tournament Fundraiser - she'll keep us
posted as soon as she gets the OK and works out all the details. We
love Volleyball!

Kathy Kibbel is committed to using all of her resources to raise
donations for Nick and the Manzo family. She's been bringing
food from Chong Sar, La Casa, Hartlins and other restaurants to the
Manzo house.

fundraiser at her vineyard in Cutchogue during the summer.

Jeannie Kessel forwarded
information to a bunch of Miller Place Alumni. Matt Clark, principal
at North Country Road School wrote her back letting Jeannie know
that the Student Government is fundraising on behalf of Nick.

suggested a fundraiser at a local Fire House. We'll keep you posted

June Connolly has suggested the
Manzo family to Tara's Pub in Port Jefferson Station for a
fundraiser. Each year the Pub holds a fundraiser in honor of a
family in a crisis situation.

Liz Giblin of the Miller Place
School District is in the process of "rallying the troops" at the
school and is attempting to set up some fundraising through local
restaurants and/or a teacher/student fundraiser for Nick and his
family.
She is waiting for some feedback
